Pünktlich zu seinem 40jährigen Jubiläum erscheint eine Neuauflage des KISS Albums “Creatures Of The Night” , einem wegweisenden Longplayer aus dem KISS Backkatalog. Es hat damals die Massen begeistert und wurde zu einem Fanliebling und Kultklassiker. Der Jahrestag wurde zum Anlass genommen dieses Meisterwerk am 18. November mit einer Sonderedition entsprechend zu würdigen. „Creatures Of The Night 40 “ wird es in folgenden Ausführungen geben: 5-CD + Blu-ray Audio Super Deluxe Edition, 3-LP Deluxe, 2-CD Deluxe, 1-LP Half-Speed Master 180gm, 1-CD Remaster, sowie als 5-CD Super Deluxe Edition Digital Download + Streaming und 2-CD Digital Download-only version zusätzlich wird es eine exklusive farbige Vinylausführung geben.
Sie haben immer wieder daran gearbeitet zu der Art von Musik zurückzukehren für die sie bekannt und beliebt waren – dem guten alten Hardrock und das ist KISS mit der Veröffentlichung von “Creatures Of The Night” im Oktober 1982 gelungen. Das Album wurde seinem Ruf durch eine härtere Gangart und einer dunkleren Stimmung gerecht. Die Single “I Love It Loud” ist seitdem ein MUSS auf der Setlist jeder KISS Konzerts – neben “War Machine” und der Ballade “I Still Love You” sowie auch dem Titelsong. Ein wichtiger Song dieser Zeit war auch “Killer”, der erstmalig in Kooperation mit ihrem zukünftigen Gitarristen Vinnie Vincent entstand. “Creatures Of The Night” wurde auch von sämtlichen Kritikern hoch gelobt, erreichte dann in seinem Veröffentlichungsjahr auch die Top 5 der Jahrescharts, sowie Goldstatus mit über 500.000 verkauften Einheiten.
Das „Creatures Of The Night 40“ Super Deluxe-Set beinhaltet insgesamt 103 Titel, davon 75 Tracks bisher unveröffentlicht. Neu gemastert auf CD 1, hört sich das Original-Album besser denn je an. CDs 2 & 3 enthalten 34 Demos, Raritäten und Outtakes, einschließlich unveröffentlichter Juwele, wie “Deadly Weapon (Penny Lane Demo)”, “Not For The Innocent (Demo)” und “Betrayed (Outtake)”.
